CG Youth Programs
At the heart of the CG Youth strategy is a focus on local school and parish communities. The key events outlined in the calendar below lead into participation in ongoing programs within these communities. Explore some of these below or get in contact with us to find out more information.
CSYMA
CSYMA has a vision to equip and empower Catholic schools to be centers of the new evangelisation. It has a youth ministry model implemented across secondary schools, Youth Ministers formation program implemented for CG Youth Ministers and opportunities for teacher formation.
Belong
Belong provides resources for Church communities to draw youth and young adults into the life and mission of the Church. These resources are focused on encounter, testimony, formation and mission and are available for implementation within parishes and schools across the Archdiocese.
Alpha
The Alpha course is a formation course that seeks to introduce the basics of the Christian faith through a series of talks and discussions. Run in Parishes across the Archdiocese for youth, young adults and adults, Alpha is a great way to begin your journey to explore the faith.
CCD
The Confraternity of Christian Doctrine (CCD) is a team of over 200 catechists that provide formation and catechesis for students in government schools across the Archdiocese.
RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process of Christian initiation and several stages and ritual steps. These lead up to the reception of all three sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Get in touch if you would like to become a Catholic today!
Signum Fidei
Signum Fidei is a Catholic Life and Mission Program for students at the Australian Catholic University. The program includes opportunities to explore Catholic life and practice, be formed for ministry and undertake mission opportunities.
